Calendula
Origin: Egypt
Botanical Name: Calendula officinalis
Description: Also known as pot marigolds. Product consists of whole and broken flowers, which are not ideal for fine crafting purposes (e.g. jar potpourris). Calendula is often used in lotions and oils to keep the skin smooth and soft, and in teas and tinctures for relief from skin inflammation and irritation. Calendula may also help relieve P.M.S. symptoms. (no caffeine, low antioxidant)
Brewing Instructions:
Use 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per 8 oz of water. Steep in just boiled water that is around 200°F-212°F, for 3-5 minutes or longer, depending on taste.
