Origin:  Japan

Description:  This Japanese green tea is made with a base of bancha tea and includes toasted rice. Bancha is often comprised of the shoots just below the top shoots used for sencha tea and/or sometimes the second harvest of the tea plant. The leaves are a similar size to sencha and will steep faster than larger leaf teas.

Ingredients:  Bancha green tea, popped rice and toasted rice. (low caffeine, high antioxidant)

Brewing Instructions:
Use 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per 8 oz of water. Steep in just boiled water that is around 200°F-212°F, for 3-5 minutes or longer, depending on taste.
